The Wrappings Installed
This installation happened in February of 2022. The intent of the install was to showcase the range in exploration of the material language that is to wrap. This project began with the search to understand home. As my understanding of that term deepened, so did the expansiveness of this series. Conceptually this work comes from questions of home, identity, partnership as well as social and physical structures. Materially speaking this work confronts biases, scales of validity, structures of respect and value, ideas of ‘off-cuts’/waste, and finally accumulation and repetition.
