The Worms

The Worms are an adaptable body of work consisting of 18 and counting knitted and stuffed tubes. They range in size from 3 to 12 feet long with a diameter of 4 to 10 inches and are knitted with various cottons, wools, acrylic blends and stuffed with cotton and poly-fil. In all iterations The Worms act as vessels of inquiry; exploring the complicated dualities of what it means to be alive. Regardless of the way in which they are presented, The Worms speak to the more subterranean human experiences; interwoven thoughts, ideas, emotions, feelings, dreams, questions, desires, secrets, obsessions, curiosities, fears, all of the gorgeous gore that goes on under the dirt of our collective existence. They are not objects, they are lifeforms, the earthworms of our existence, the creatures at play under the dirt of our flesh.
